Which Samsung SCX-5835 driver should I choose?
Basic drivers are the model-specific choice. The print driver is 21.8 MB, the PostScript driver 16.3 MB, and the scan driver 8.1 MB. Universal Print Driver packages (24.4 MB and 38.5 MB) are generic drivers for IT-managed setups. Utilities add extras such as fax, OCR scanning and status monitoring, from 2.0 MB to 28.7 MB. Firmware files are 20.6 MB and 254.0 MB. HP lists no problem they fix, so skip them and read the Release Note first if you do consider one.
Driver packages cover the SCX-5835 and 5935 series, with separate firmware files for NX and FN variants. Smart Panel targets the 5835FX and 5935FX only. Check your exact model suffix before you download firmware or utilities.
How to install the Samsung SCX-5835 driver

Samsung SCX-5835 driver troubleshooting
Windows does not find the printer or nothing prints
Confirm the printer is powered on and shows no error. Check the cable or network link you use. Then restart the print queue by clearing stuck jobs, and print a test page again.
Pages come out faint, streaked or blank
Print a test page first. Then check the printer's supplies and replace any that are low or empty. Reseat them carefully, and follow the printer manual for handling.
Easy Printer Manager fails to run properly on Windows 10
Install Samsung Easy Printer Manager version 2.00.01.36. HP lists it as fixing a Windows 10 RS4 compatibility issue. Easy Document Creator 2.02.61 and Network PC Fax 2.02.35 carry the same fix.

Samsung SCX-5835, 5935NX Series Print Driver(No Installer) supports Windows 10 64-bit and 32-bit, plus Windows 7 64-bit and 32-bit. HP offers no Windows 11 version of it.
Is there a driver for Windows 11?
HP lists Windows 11 for the Samsung Universal Print Driver (version 3.00.16.0101.01, 38.5 MB) and Samsung Easy Printer Manager. The model-specific drivers cover Windows 10 and 7 only.
How big is the recommended print driver?
The recommended No Installer print driver is 31.0 MB, version 3.11.76.01.15, dated Sep 01, 2017. The standard print driver with the same version is 21.8 MB.
What do the firmware files fix?
HP lists no fixes for either firmware file. It recommends downloading and reading the Release Note before you install one. The NX file is 254.0 MB and the FN file is 20.6 MB.
