Which Samsung SL-M4080 driver should I choose?
HP groups the downloads into four categories. Basic drivers run the printer and scanner. The print driver is 103.8 MB with an installer, 34.8 MB without one, and the scan driver is 93.5 MB. Utilities add tools like Samsung Set IP (1.5 MB) and Samsung Printer Diagnostics (23.1 MB). Universal Print Drivers are generic drivers for IT-managed setups. Firmware comes as a 0.1 MB release note and a 399.2 MB file. Update firmware only to fix a specific problem, and read the note first.
Automatic duplex printing is standard. Paper capacity covers a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray, a 550-sheet input tray, a 50-sheet document feeder and a 250-sheet output bin. Connect by Hi-Speed USB 2.0 or built-in Gigabit Ethernet. Wi-Fi is optional, and HP ePrint is not supported.

Samsung SL-M4080 driver troubleshooting
Printer shows offline or jobs stick in the queue
Check the USB or Ethernet cable and confirm the printer is on. Restart the printer, then clear the stuck jobs. Samsung Printer Diagnostics 1.0.4.29 targets offline printers and stuck jobs.
Prints look faint, streaky or uneven
Remove the toner cartridge and rock it gently to spread the toner. Replace it if output stays poor. Also confirm the paper type matches the media you loaded.
Samsung Easy Printer Manager has Windows 10 compatibility trouble
Install Samsung Easy Printer Manager 2.00.01.36 from Jun 19, 2023. HP lists it as fixing the Windows 10 RS4 compatibility issue. Remove the older version first.
