Which Samsung SL-M4072 driver should I choose?
Basic drivers are model-specific. Pick the 37.3 MB installer or the 21.0 MB manual driver. Add the 31.9 MB scan driver for scanning. Universal Print Drivers are generic, for IT-managed setups; utilities add monitoring and fax tools. Skip the 20.7 MB firmware unless HP's release note matches a problem you have.
Connections are Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and built-in Gigabit Ethernet, with no wireless. Mobile printing works through Apple AirPrint, Mopria and Samsung Cloud Print. Memory is 256 MB, with a 512 MB maximum.
How to install the Samsung SL-M4072 driver

Samsung SL-M4072 driver troubleshooting
Windows cannot find the printer over USB or Ethernet
Check that the cable is seated at both ends. Try a different USB port or cable. On a network, Samsung Set IP (1.5 MB) can set the IP address using the printer's MAC address.
Faint or streaky laser prints
Remove the toner cartridge and rock it gently to spread the toner. Reinstall it, then print again. Confirm the paper type matches the tray, and replace the cartridge if streaks continue.
Easy Printer Manager misbehaves on Windows 10
Install Samsung Easy Printer Manager version 2.00.01.36, which fixed the Windows10 RS4 compatibility issue. Download the 28.7 MB file from this page and reinstall it.
