Basic drivers are driver-only packages. The PCL6 print driver is 15.9 MB, the PostScript driver 16.1 MB, and the scan driver 28.1 MB. The Universal Print Driver is a generic driver for IT-managed setups; the Windows version is 38.5 MB. Utilities such as Easy Printer Manager (28.7 MB) and Set IP (1.5 MB) add management tools. The firmware file is 294.7 MB, and HP recommends reading the 0.1 MB release note first. HP lists no fixes for it, so skip the update unless the note matches a problem you have.

Samsung's drivers cover the CLX-9250ND, 9258ND, 9350ND and 9358ND together. The basic drivers support Windows 10 and Windows 7, in 32-bit and 64-bit. Set IP can assign a network IP address using the printer's MAC address.

Windows cannot find the printer or nothing prints after installing the driver

Check that the printer is on and its cable or network connection is secure. Restart both the printer and the PC. Then rerun the installer and select the printer as your default.

Printouts look faded, streaked or uneven

Check the printer's supplies and replace any that are low or empty. Reprint a test page afterward. If streaks remain, restart the printer and try again before contacting support.

Samsung utilities fail to work correctly on Windows 10

Install Samsung Easy Printer Manager 2.00.01.36 or Samsung Easy Document Creator 2.02.61. Both fix a Windows 10 RS4 compatibility issue. Restart the PC after installing.
