Which Samsung SL-M5360 driver should I choose?
Basic drivers install the printer itself. The PCL6 driver is 23.4 MB, the no-installer version is 19.3 MB, and the scan driver is 34.4 MB. Choose the no-installer version only if you prefer to add the printer manually. Universal Print Drivers (38.5 MB, and 24.4 MB for PostScript) are generic drivers for IT-managed setups. Utilities handle diagnostics, IP setup, PC fax and scan OCR. HP lists no problem fixed by the 956.9 MB firmware, so skip it.
Automatic duplex printing is standard. Connectivity includes Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and built-in Gigabit Ethernet, with Wi-Fi as an option. Paper handling covers a 100-sheet multipurpose tray, a 520-sheet input tray and a 500-sheet output bin.

Samsung SL-M5360 driver troubleshooting
Windows shows the printer as offline
Check that the USB or Ethernet cable is firmly seated. Restart the printer and your PC. On a network, confirm both sit on the same network, then print again.
Laser prints look faint or streaky
Remove the toner cartridge, check that it sits properly, and reinstall it. Replace it if toner is low. Try a fresh ream of paper in case the stock is the cause.
Print jobs stick in the queue
Run Samsung Printer Diagnostics 1.0.4.29 (23.1 MB). HP describes it as a tool for printer offline errors and stuck jobs. Restart the printer afterward and send a new job.

Which Windows versions does the PCL6 driver support?
HP lists the Samsung SL-M5360 Series Print Driver PCL6 for Windows 10 (64-bit and 32-bit) and Windows 7 (64-bit and 32-bit). It does not list Windows 11 for this driver.
Can I use the printer on Windows 11?
HP lists Windows 11 support for the Samsung Universal Print Driver for Windows (38.5 MB), Samsung Printer Diagnostics and Samsung Set IP. Model-specific drivers are listed only for Windows 10 and 7.
How big is the firmware download, and what does it fix?
The firmware file, version 5.A0.00.22, is 956.9 MB. HP lists no specific fixes for it. HP recommends reading the 0.1 MB release note before installing it.
Does this printer print on both sides automatically?
