Which Samsung ML-4551 driver should I choose?
HP lists three categories. Basic driver downloads, such as the ML-4550 Series PCL6 (13.1 MB) and Post Script (29.7 MB) drivers, are the model-specific choice, but both cover only Windows 7. Universal Print Driver downloads are generic drivers for IT-managed setups, and the main one (38.5 MB) supports Windows 11 and 10. Utilities add tools like Samsung Easy Printer Manager (28.7 MB) and Direct Printing Utility (2.0 MB).
The ML-4550 Series drivers cover this model on Windows 7. Smart Panel (79.0 MB) also supports only Windows 7. Samsung Easy Printer Manager combines device settings and status monitoring, and it supports Windows 11.

Windows does not find the printer after installation
Check that the printer is on and its cable or network connection is firm. Restart both the printer and the PC, then run the installer again if the printer still does not appear.

Inspect the supplies and confirm they are seated correctly. Replace any that are low or worn, then print another page to compare results.
Samsung Easy Printer Manager fails on Windows 10
Install version 2.00.01.36 (28.7 MB). Samsung fixed a Windows 10 RS4 compatibility issue in that release, so older versions may misbehave there.
