Which Samsung CLX-3185 driver should I choose?
HP sorts the downloads into three categories. The Basic driver is the model-specific print driver, so start there (23.7 MB). The Universal Print Driver (38.5 MB) is a generic driver for IT-managed setups, and it lists Windows 11. Utilities add single functions, such as Easy Printer Manager (28.7 MB) for settings and status, or Set IP (1.5 MB) for network addressing. Install a utility only when you need that function.
Samsung Set IP sets a network IP address from the printer's MAC address, and Easy Wireless Setup (4.2 MB) handles wireless settings. The print driver lists only Windows 10 and Windows 7. Windows 11 users should try the Universal Print Driver.

Samsung CLX-3185 driver troubleshooting
Windows cannot find the printer on the network
Confirm the printer is on and joined to the same network as the PC. Then run Samsung Set IP (1.5 MB), which assigns an IP address using the printer's MAC address.
Prints look faded or streaky
Check the supply levels in Samsung Easy Printer Manager, which monitors device status. Replace any supply that is low or empty, then print another test page.
Samsung Easy Printer Manager misbehaves on Windows 10
Install Samsung Easy Printer Manager version 2.00.01.36 from HP's page. It fixes the Windows 10 RS4 compatibility issue. Easy Document Creator 2.02.61 carries the same fix.
