Which Samsung CLX-4195 driver should I choose?
HP sorts the downloads into four categories. Basic drivers are the model-specific print and scan drivers: the print driver is 32.4 MB, the PostScript version 40.6 MB. The Universal Print Driver (38.5 MB) is a generic driver, best for IT-managed setups. Utilities add tools such as Easy Printer Manager (28.7 MB) and Easy Wireless Setup (4.2 MB). HP lists no fixes for the two firmware files, so leave them alone.
HP lists separate firmware for the CLX-4195FW (151.7 MB) and for the CLX-4195N and 4195FN (84.6 MB), so match the file to your variant. Set IP assigns a network address using the printer's MAC address. HP recommends reading the Release Note before any firmware install.
How to install the Samsung CLX-4195 driver
- Download the CLX-419x Series Scan Driver (24.9 MB) from the HP page.
- Check that your Windows is Win 10 or Win 7, in 32-bit or 64-bit.
- Open the downloaded file and follow the installer prompts.
- Restart the PC if the installer asks for it.
- Add the CLX-419x Series Print Driver (32.4 MB) as well if you need to print.
- Run Samsung Easy Wireless Setup (4.2 MB) to configure wireless settings, or Set IP (1.5 MB) for a network address.

Samsung CLX-4195 driver troubleshooting
Windows cannot find the printer
Check the cable or network connection first. Then restart both the printer and the PC. If it still fails, reinstall the print driver. Set IP can assign a network address using the MAC address.
Prints look faded or streaked
Check the toner levels, then remove and reseat the toner cartridges. Run a test page afterward. Easy Printer Manager can show device status if you install it.
Samsung utilities fail on Windows 10
Update to a version with the Windows 10 RS4 compatibility fix. That means Easy Printer Manager 2.00.01.36, Easy Document Creator 2.02.61, or Network PC Fax Utility 2.02.35.

Is there a Mac driver for the Samsung CLX-4195?
No. HP offers only Windows downloads for this printer, so no macOS driver is available from HP.

Which firmware file do I need?
Use the CLX-4195FW Firmware File (151.7 MB) for the FW model. The CLX-4195N, 4195FN file (84.6 MB) covers those two. HP lists no fixes for either.
