Which Samsung SCX-5935 driver should I choose?

Basic drivers do one job each: print, PostScript print or scan. The scan driver is 8.1 MB and the standard print driver is 21.8 MB. Utilities add features such as monitoring, PC fax and OCR scanning. The Universal Print Driver (38.5 MB) is a generic driver that suits IT-managed setups. Firmware files are 20.6 MB and 254.0 MB. Install firmware only to fix a specific problem, and read the release note first.

Samsung splits this series by suffix. The firmware files cover NX and FN models, and Smart Panel covers the 5835FX and 5935FX. The No Installer print driver needs a manual install. The PostScript driver installs automatically.

How to install the Samsung SCX-5935 driver

1. Download the Scan Driver (8.1 MB) and pick the file for your Windows version, Win 10 or Win 7, 32-bit or 64-bit.
2. Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Download the Print Driver (21.8 MB) as well if you need printing, since the scan driver covers scanning only.
4. Avoid the No Installer print driver unless you want a manual installation.
5. Add Easy Printer Manager (28.7 MB) afterward if you want device settings and status monitoring in one place.

Windows does not find the printer after installing the driver

Restart the printer and the PC. Then check that the cable or network link is secure. Reinstall the driver if the printer still does not appear.

Pages print faint, streaked or blank

Check the supplies first and replace anything that is empty or worn. Print a test page afterward. If the problem persists, reinstall the print driver.

Utility problems on Windows 10

Install Easy Printer Manager 2.00.01.36 or Network PC Fax Utility 2.02.35. Both fix a Windows 10 RS4 compatibility issue.
