How to install the Canon PIXMA G570 driver
Canon’s own steps for the full driver package:
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded .exe file. It will be decompressed and the Setup screen will be displayed. Follow the instructions to install the software and perform the necessary settings.

Canon PIXMA G570 driver troubleshooting
Windows does not detect the G570 after I connect it
Check that the printer is on and the USB cable or network connection is firm. Try another USB port or cable. Restart the PC and printer, then run the Ver.1.03 driver installer again and follow its prompts.
The driver installation stops partway through
Close other programs and pause antivirus software for a few minutes. Download the file again in case the first copy is damaged. Then run the installer as administrator. Restart the PC if it asks you to.
The scanner does not appear after I install the driver
The G570 Printer Driver Ver.1.03 covers printing. Scanning needs separate software, and the files listed here do not include it. Check Canon's support page for your model, then restart the PC after you install it.

It covers Windows 11, Windows 10, 8.1 and 7, with x64 versions of the last three. It also covers Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016 and 2019 in x64, plus Server 2022 and 2025.
Is there a macOS or Linux driver for the G570?
No. The files Canon lists here are all for Windows. They include no macOS driver and no Linux Debian or RPM packages. Check Canon's support site for your model if you need those systems.
