Canon PIXMA iP1880 driver troubleshooting
Windows or macOS does not detect the printer.
Plug the USB cable straight into the computer, not a hub. Switch the printer on and wait for it to idle. Then install the driver that matches your system. Restart the computer and check again.
The driver install stops partway.
Close other programs and run the installer again. Check that you picked the right file for your system. Windows 8.1, 8 and Vista have separate 32-bit and x64 files. Restart before you retry.
No scanner shows up after installation.
The iP1880 prints only and has no scanner. Canon lists printer drivers alone for this model. No scanner driver exists, so no scanner entry will appear in Windows or macOS.
You can find manuals and firmware for this model on Canon’s official support page.
