Basic drivers install only the driver. The print driver is 15.7 MB and the scan driver is 28.1 MB. Choose the No Installer print driver (47.7 MB) only if you want a manual install. Utilities add tools: Easy Printer Manager (28.7 MB) handles settings and status, and Scan OCR (28.6 MB) produces editable text. IT-managed setups can use the 24.4 MB Samsung Universal Print Driver – PostScript. Skip the firmware (268.4 MB) unless HP lists a problem you need fixed.

Windows does not find the printer after installation

Confirm the printer is powered on and the cable or network link is secure. Restart both the printer and the PC. Then run the print driver installer again and follow its prompts.

Printouts look faint, streaked or uneven

Check the toner or other supplies and replace any that are low. Print a test page after reseating them. Streaks that remain may point to a worn part, so contact support.

Easy Printer Manager fails on a recent Windows 10 build

Install Samsung Easy Printer Manager version 2.00.01.36 (28.7 MB). HP states it fixes a Windows 10 RS4 compatibility issue. Remove the older version first if the installer complains.
