Which Samsung ML-5510 / ML-6510 driver should I choose?
Basic drivers handle printing only. The PCL6 driver (52.0 MB) is the usual choice, and the PostScript driver (21.3 MB) is the alternative. The No Installer version (32.1 MB) needs manual installation through Add Printer. The XPS driver (17.6 MB) covers Windows 7 only. The Universal Print Driver (38.5 MB) is a generic driver for IT-managed setups and also supports Windows 11. Utilities add tools such as IP setup. Install the firmware file (24.9 MB) only to fix a specific problem, after reading the release note.
Samsung lists this driver family as ML-5510 and ML-6510, and the PostScript and XPS drivers cover the ML-551x and 651x series. The firmware file covers the ML-5510, 5512, 6510 and 6512. Check that the driver name matches your model before downloading.

Samsung ML-5510 / ML-6510 driver troubleshooting
Windows cannot find the printer on the network
Run Samsung Set IP (version 1.05.08.03.14) on a Windows PC. It sets the network IP address using the printer's MAC address. Then reinstall the PCL6 driver and select that address.
Printed pages look faded, streaked or blank
Check the printer's supplies first and replace any that are low. Then print a test page from a different application to separate a driver setting problem from a supplies problem.
Samsung Easy Printer Manager does not work properly on Windows 10
Install Samsung Easy Printer Manager version 2.00.01.36 (28.7 MB). Samsung fixed a Windows 10 RS4 compatibility issue in that release. Restart the PC after installing.

Which Windows versions does the PCL6 driver support?
The Samsung ML-5510, 6510 Series Print Driver PCL6 supports Windows 10 64-bit and 32-bit, plus Windows 7 64-bit and 32-bit. HP does not list Windows 11 for it.
Is there a driver that supports Windows 11?
Yes. The Samsung Universal Print Driver for Windows, version 3.00.16.0101.01 (38.5 MB), lists Windows 11. It is a generic driver aimed at IT-managed setups.
How large is the recommended driver download?
