How to install the Canon PIXMA G2010 driver
Canon’s own steps for the full driver package:
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded .exe file. It will be decompressed and the Setup screen will be displayed. Follow the instructions to install the software and perform the necessary settings.

Canon PIXMA G2010 driver troubleshooting
Windows does not detect the printer
Check the power and USB cable first. Plug the cable straight into the PC, not a hub. Restart the printer, then run the driver installer again. Restart Windows if the printer still does not appear.
The installation stops partway
Close other programs and run the installer as administrator. The 20.11 MB Full Driver & Software Package is an online installer, so it needs internet access. Check your connection, or try the 89.99 MB MP Drivers file.
The scanner is missing but printing works
Install G2010 MP Drivers Ver.1.04. It provides full printing and scanning, and it includes the updated IJ Scan Utility. Restart the PC after the install finishes.
