How to install the Canon PIXMA E4270 driver
Canon’s own steps for the full driver package:
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded EXE file to decompress it, then installation will start automatically.

Canon PIXMA E4270 driver troubleshooting
Windows does not detect the E4270 after installation.
Turn the printer on and connect the USB cable directly to the PC, not through a hub. Restart the PC and the printer. If Windows still shows no device, run the Ver.1.02 installer again.
The driver installation stops partway through.
Close other programs and pause any antivirus scan. Unplug the USB cable if the installer has not asked for it. Restart the PC, then run the installer again as administrator.
The printer works, but the scanner is missing.
Print-only results usually mean a partial install. Run the full E4270 MP Drivers Ver.1.02 package again. It includes printing and scanning, plus the updated IJ Scan Utility. Restart the PC afterward.
